When should I order?

Orders for Monday thru Friday should be placed at least one day in advance. Saturday orders must be placed by 6:00 PM Friday.

I'm bake extra's of our popular 9” cakes for last minute orders, but all 7” and sheet cakes must be pre-ordered.

Do you decorate or personalize your cakes?

We do not decorate or personalize our cakes, but some cakes do have nuts on top and we are happy to enclose a gift card with a personalized message.

Do you offer gluten-free baked goods?

I'm happy to offer 2-layer gluten-free Cakes in our Raspberry Lemon, Very Vanilla, Chocolate on Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Brooklyn Blackout and Strawberry Fields flavors.

Also offer gluten-free chocolate and vanilla Cupcakes with chocolate or vanilla buttercream, as well as a variety of gluten-free Cookies!

Do your cakes freeze well?

My cakes freeze beautifully up to three months

What is the difference between a buttercream and fondant finished cake?

Buttercream is what you’ll commonly see on many traditional cakes. It is made primarily of butter, egg whites and sugar. At Empire Cake we make a Swiss Meringue Buttercream which has a silky, delicious taste and will allow for a nice, smooth finish on your cake.

Fondant is a sugary paste, with a taste similar to marshmallow, that can be rolled out into a thin layer then draped over the cake, creating a beautifully smooth cover.

Do you ship cakes?

Yes.
I can ship both pound and 7 inch layer cakes via UPS anywhere in the United States.
